I have a varied work background that reflects my personal interests, passions, and wide range of skills.

I began my career as a journalist: I spent 15 years at the Los Angeles Times, working as a book editor, staff writer and night editor. In that time, I helped create the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books, wrote stories covering everything from the dumping of homeless people in downtown L.A. to travel in Europe, and was part of a team that won the Pulitzer Prize for Breaking News. Journalism taught me to listen first, ask good questions, and synthesize the information I learn into something clear and useful.

I carried those skills into the next chapter of my career, where I led operations, communications, and HR for a family-owned business in Altadena for 14 years, until the Eaton Fire destroyed it in January 2025. Losing the business meant figuring out how to take everything I'd built there and apply it to whatever came next.

For me, that has been meaningful work as a fractional Chief of Staff and COO, helping founders turn ideas into procedures that help their organizations grow and flourish. I've been described, accurately, as an Arranger: I'm at my best pulling together the people, resources, and structure a growing organization needs, then building systems so they don’t depend on me, or anyone else, to continue running.

Along the way, I've become fluent in building AI-driven tools and automations, another way to do what I've always done, taking something manual and turning it into a system.

I find time to serve on nonprofit boards in the L.A. area. I was board president of Young & Healthy, which provides healthcare access to uninsured children and families in the greater Pasadena area, and I am currently board chair of the Italian American Museum of Los Angeles (IAMLA), where I help guide strategy, fundraising, and governance. In both positions, I oversaw the organizations transition from longtime, founding Executive Directors to a new generation of leadership.

Outside of work, I'm fluent in Italian and French, hold dual U.S. and Italian citizenship, and am currently enrolled in a winemaker's certificate program at UC Davis.
